This movie is one of my favorite top 10 . I was so glad to find it on Amazon.com. It is one of those sleeper type movies, about a sleepy little town that wakes up when a young girl shows up who has pain in her young life no one should go through. It is about redemption, forgiveness and real love. MB December 6, 2008

The Spitfire Grill is a must see movie. It is a movie about human relationships, and about the difference one person can make. For the religious, it has a great theological message too! November 3, 2008

rating: 5 QuoteOne of the best films on redemptionQuote
I love this film. It isn't specifically a message on God's redemption, nor does it spell out a Christian world-view, but the film is seeped with redemption overtures.
Many people have borrowed this film from me. Some hate sad films and are disapointed. Those that don't mind a dose of realism were touched and blessed.
I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a better-than-average movie-night experience. Bring tissues. Not recommended for young children - they won't pick up on the overarching themes. October 30, 2008

Extraordinary film, full of grace and compassion. Beautifully filmed with solid performances, Alison Elliott is a stand-out! October 5, 2008

This movie is beautifully done. We all still become teary-eyed at the end of the film, despite viewing it numerous times. The story makes you think and teaches us not to judge others harshly based on face value. A good movie for older children. Some might consider it "boring", but conservative families looking for good viewing for the entire family, definitely will not! September 30, 2008
